Varma), Elsevier (2007), , page 118:An analysis of 101,073 women in the Nurses' Health Study II reported that over an 8-year period, the conversion rate to type 2 diabetes amongst oligomenorrhoeic women was approximately twice than that for eumenorrhoeic women, regardless of whether the oligomenorrhoeic women are obese or lean, indicating that oligomenorrhoea was an independent predicator of type 2 diabetes.
