1793, Trials per Pais, chapter VIII, page 116:... and that every clerk of the peace neglecting his duty therein, Å¿hall forfeit the Å¿um of twenty pounds to Å¿uch perÅ¿on or perÅ¿ons as Å¿hall inform or proÅ¿ecture for the Å¿ame, until the party be thereof convicted upon an indictment before the juÅ¿tices of the peace, at any general quarterâ€Å¿eÅ¿Å¿ions of the peace to be holden for the Å¿ame country, riding, diviÅ¿ion, or præcinct.
