(Lojban grammar) A word acting like a predicate, which is immediately preceded by one sumti ("argument"), x1, and usually followed by one or more sumti ("arguments"): x2, x3, ... up to no further than x5. It is analogous to a verb in natural languages.A selbri together with its associated sumti (if any) forms a bridi. A selbri without any sumti is called an observative bridi.
