From pendulum, by analogy with nouns, such as bacterium/bacteria, though Latin pendulum is the neuter singular form of the adjective pendulus, whose neuter plural is pendula.
Usage notes
The form pendulums is significantly more common than pendula; however, pendula is occasionally used in physics, particularly in the phrase Double pendulum.
